Located near the small town of Vorno, on the grounds of Villa Controni, Casa Felice Matteucci has just undergone a complete restoration. Great care and attention to detail has gone into making this an outstanding villa with fabulously stylish interiors that are both opulent and very elegant. Set amongst olive trees and overlooking a small pond with its own island. It is fully staffed including a chef to prepare two meals daily.

Located just ten minutes from the medieval walled town of Lucca, Casa Felice Matteucci is a perfect base for exploring Chianti and the hilltowns of Tuscany. Florence is an hour away, and Pisa is just 30 minutes. Visit towns like Siena and San Gimignano, or hike the dramatic cliff villages of the Cinqueterre (1 hour). Explore the seaside of the Versilian Riviera (30 minutes) or relax in a nearby thermal spa. Tennis and horseback riding facilities are available in the area, and 18-hole golf courses are found in nearby Montecatini or in Versilia.

The main entrance of Casa Matteucci leads to a grand salon with elegant, comfortable furnishings, including a music system, satellite TV and video. There is a spacious, fully equipped Tuscan kitchen with modern conveniences and an elegant dining room with a vaulted ceiling. A study provides conveniences such as telephone, fax, internet access, and computer facilities. Also on the ground floor is a laundry room and a half bath.On the second floor there are six uniquely decorated bedrooms, all with queen beds, beamed ceilings, and terracotta floors. Each bedroom has its own en suite bath.

The magnificent grounds surrounding the villa include a private pond with its own island, an adjacent equestrian center, and a spacious floodlit salt water swimming pool. A BBQ and outdoor tables and chairs invite al fresco dining. Casa Felice Matteucci is air conditioned for summer and has central heat for cooler months. This top-of-the-line villa comes with staff six days per week, including a chef who will prepare a Continental buffet breakfast and your choice of either lunch or dinner. A gardener tends the grounds and pool. Many additional services are available upon request.

Staff: Included in the weekly rental rate is a housekeeper who services the bedrooms and ground floor reception rooms each day (6 days per week). A chef who is available to prepare a continental style buffet breakfast each morning and either lunch or dinner each day (6 days per week).
